After seeing them seemingly everywhere, I decided to treat myself to some goodies by Grown. I chose the Vanilla & Orange Peel hand cream and the Watermelon lip balm. At $20+ they’re a bit of a splurge but are well worth the treat. Each product smells just as delicious as they sound and best of all they contain certified organic ingredients and are not tested on animals. I ordered these from the Grown online shop and have to applaud the speedy delivery, especially around this time of year. Now I’ve just got to start saving my pennies so I can stock up on more of the range!
Revlon CustomEyes eye-shadows c/o M80
A while ago I was asked to try out some stuff from the new Revlon CustomEyes range. I thought I’d give it a go because a) who doesn’t like free stuff? and b) yayyy pretty makeup. I’m not a makeup blogger, so don’t hold your breath for an in-depth review (the best I can offer is “they’re soft and kind of smooth”). I’ll just do what I usually do and post some photos, ramble for a bit, and then provide some sort of self-deprecating anecdote. The two palettes I received were “Smoky Sexy” and “Sweet Innocence”. Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum! Each palette features a ‘how-to’ guide on the back, which is handy. Especially for the makeup inept like myself. Trust me, every time I try the ‘smoky eye’ I just end up looking like I’ve been punched in the face. FYI, I tried out the “Smoky Sexy” palette and managed the smoky part. Still working on the sexy. Either way, success!
Anyway, onto the giveaway! Because what’s the point if I can’t share the fun around? One person will be able to win themselves three eyeshadow palettes from the CustomEyes range. Each palette consists of four shadows and a powder liner. All up, there are six palettes in the range (the remaining colours are below). The winner will be able to request certain colours, however, please note that these are not guaranteed. There are limited supplies so if the one you want is out of stock then you’ll be sent another one. They’re all pretty awesome colour combinations though, so you can’t really go wrong.
To enter, simply comment on this post. This giveaway is open to all readers. One entry per person. A winner will be chosen at random. Entries close 6 March, 2011 at 11:59pm AEST. The winner will be announced on 7 March, 2011. You know the deal.

P.S. I paid off the rest of my Glastonbury ticket today. Yayayayayayayayayay!
The other week I was in need of a little pick-me-up, and decided that some new makeup was in order. Nothing too major, just a little something to put a smile on my dial. I ordered these off strawberrynet.com and they came in the mail yesterday. The ‘Powder Pop’ was a result of me not being able to choose just one shade… so I decided that the combination of Dallas, Dandelion, and Hoola would be the ideal solution. And I bought the ‘Valley of the Stars’ because it was a cheapy. Plus I’m a sucker for cute packaging, and Benefit does not disappoint in that particular area.
