i hate…

8am lectures

Actually I lie, it was a tutorial. But the trade off for the early start is that I’m home by 1pm… which means I get home in time to watch Wife Swap USA. Win!

Wearing a pretty standard outfit. Consists of my old, altered (used to be bootcut) Just Jeans jeans, AA grey tee and Sportsgirl leather jacket. The scarf is a weird shade of grey – that kind of grey that’s almost a lilac-y colour. I don’t know where it’s from, it’s one of those pieces that just appear, almost magically. Also, check out how scuffed (read: trashed) my shoes are.

Classy.

black & cream, black & cream

Here I’m wearing one of my favourite summer dresses, purchased at one of those random cheapo asian stores. But since it’s cold and all I had to make it winter-appropriate. Today I felt like parting my fringe in the middle (it’s due for a trim) and it took a bit of getting used to. ALSO somehow I had forgotten that my tripod has extra leg extensions, so for the past I don’t know how many pictures they’ve been taken at roughly hip height, but not today. No, today this picture was taken at SHOULDER HEIGHT! hurrah! and yet it still manages to make my legs looks stumpy. Collective sigh. Damn you black tights, you’re meant to be slimming. Random tangent – I had a brief freak out today as I had thought that I had developed cankles, possibly as a result of my foray into this thing called the gym and working out and doing exercises/weights that may alter the shape of my legs. I’m still undecided as to whether I in fact am developing them, or if it’s all in my head. Anyway, I’m sorry if this is really poorly written, all my writing energy has been poured into a tutorial assignment that requires me to write an interesting “publishable article” about issues for organisational writers. Blah. And now, more importantly, I’m off to watch Spicks and Specks XD

polka

Wore this to a friend’s 21st. It was at a bowls club so I didn’t want to go too OTT. The shirt was found in my mum’s wardrobe – one of her work shirts from the 80s. You can’t really tell from the pictures but it’s got some cool ruffles down the front. It is a bit see through though, and after taking these photos I added a grey singlet underneath. Also wearing old, faded sass & bide misfits (really need to get new black jeans but meh) and shoes which I bought on sale from myer, and I used a gift card to buy them so yay for free shoes.

merry little fancy things

It’s all in the details…

My friend bought me this brooch a few years ago. I haven’t worn it a lot, the latch is a bit loose and I’m scared of it falling off, but today it was sparkling on my dressing table and was just screaming to be worn.

I know nearly every second person owns these Scooter shoes, but I still love the brogue detailing on them.

flowers in my hair… and on my cake

No outfit post today. First day back at uni and I was rushed and ended up wearing a slightly boring jeans/tee/cardigan combo. But I did add a little floral headband. It’s actually a material type belty thing from one of my floral dresses. And in keeping with the floral theme I added a nice pic of some flowers that were on my birthday cake (old-ish photo). Nawww. In other news, I’ve paid off my credit card bill etc etc so soon enough I will hopefully have some lovely new additions to my wardrobe that I can blog about (yay for online shopping!) And my CC will hate me once more. Hurrah!
