& stuff

Remember that blush material I bought from an op-shop a while ago? Well it’s finally been turned into a skirt. This is only a sneak peek (and not much of one at that – I just really liked the photo), but I’ll be sure to show it off soon. Anyway, to fill out this post I thought I’d include a list of things I’m liking right now:
+ The fact that it’s Valley Fiesta this weekend. Street parties, live bands, suitcase rummages – does it get any better?
+ Listening to the Sleigh Bells album while working out at the gym. Ultimate motivator.
+ The peach coloured Fisheye Lomo camera exclusive to Urban Outfitters. Also the new Diana Mini in white. I want, I want! (but can’t really justify buying).
+ Taking Style to the People. Using fashion for good, supporting a different cause each day.
+ The Douglas Kirkland retrospective opening at GoMA tomorrow.
+ Roald Dahl Day on Monday (September 13). Dust off your copies of James and The Giant Peach, The BFG, and Matilda, and inject a little bit of Roald Dahl magic into your day.
+ Buy Nothing New Month this October. As well as being an exercise in leading a less wasteful lifestyle, there are also prizes up for grabs for the most creative pledge.
+ LCD Soundsystem Live At The Wireless, via triple j. Because I was too tired to fully enjoy the experience at Splendour.
