denim + tortoiseshell

An alternative title for this post would be: outfit dreaming with denim #198743567834543. I have a soft spot for tortoiseshell sunglasses and I think they’re a perfect match for a crisp denim shirt. Well, denim anything, really. I currently only own a pair of cat eye tortoiseshell sunglasses, but I’m getting a bit tired of the shape. So I’m on the lookout for a more versatile everyday option. SmartBuyGlasses.co.nz, the New Zealand sister site to Vision Direct Australia got in touch with me recently to take a look at their site. I spotted a sweet pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses by Persol but Ray-Ban and Gucci also have a range of styles that fit the bill. I prefer brighter yellow tortoiseshell patterns as they’re a bit bolder than your classic brown tortoiseshell pattern, which can sometimes come across as a bit muddy and bland. Anyway, teamed with a crisp denim shirt and shorts and I think you’ve got yourself a pretty smart looking outfit.

Love this, though I'm not sure if the clear shoes would be uncomfortable, they look like they'd dig in! x
