the stylist’s apprentice

Budding Brisbane stylists take note: Westfield Garden City are holding a competition to find Brisbane’s “next big fashion talent”. The winner will receive a raft of opportunities including a paid casual position with the Westfield Garden City style and marketing team, a $500 gift voucher, and an internship at one of Brisbane’s “most stylish publications”. To enter, follow the prompts on the Westfield Garden City Facebook Page and provide a styled photograph of yourself inspired by a key 2012 autumn/winter trend accompanied by a 150 word submission describing the look and your top five tips for achieving this season’s trends. This competition is open to tertiary students studying fashion, design or communications related degrees. You can add this to the list of things I’m jealous uni students get – alongside cheaper bus fares and movie tickets. The competition closes on April 17 though, so you better get in quick. A worthy weekend project, perhaps?
