like i give a frock

I received this book for my birthday a few months ago. It’s called Like I give a frock: fashion forecasts and meaningless misguidance. The book is a collection of anecdotes voiced by a certain Michi Girl (who is actually a pseudonym for writers Chloe Quigly and Daniel Pollock, and “brought to life” by illustrator Kat Macleod). Michi is described as being “quite possibly the best advice-giver you’ve ever met”. Amen to that. Up until recently, I had only ever flicked through the pages every so often. The other night I decided to read it from front to back. I don’t know why I hadn’t done so earlier! This book is an absolute gem. Not only are there some absolute pearls of wisdom wedged between the pages, but there’s also plenty of fantastic artwork to pore over. More images after the jump.

    @Amie: I probably would have done the same!

    @ALittleBrighter: maybe you're experiencing a case of deja shoe? ahh I couldn't help myself, sorry

    @Chow: OR, on the flipside, it might actually be cheap-ish and the only hermes I'll ever own haha

    @Ivania: I get where you're coming from. And it doesn't sound stupid at all!

    @Jessica: this is a book where the cover is a good indication of what's inside. Lots of fabulousness!

    @Hannie: I'm sure you would be. If you click on the Michi Girl website I think there might be some links as to where to buy it

    @Kate: I think we've all been prone to it at some stage or another!

    @Ella: It's highly recommended

    @Sharon: yayy!
