brokedown palace

One day I’m going to find an abandoned building to take photos in. I think it’s that appeal of making something visually appealing out of something that’s… not. Dirty vs pretty, old vs new, you know, all that juxtaposition stuff (for a moment there I was transported back to high school art. I should have thrown a few ‘synergies’ in there for good measure). Anyway, back to abandoned buildings and the like. Come to think of it, if I ever did come across one, I’d probably be too chicken to step foot in it. They’re always off limits, right? And probably not very structurally sound (I don’t think my life’s worth risking for a few pretty pictures). So in the meantime I’ll just pretend and live vicariously through this behind-the-scenes video footage from a recent StyleCaster shoot.

You're right, it's really not worth it. But these pictures are so amazing, you don't need to, and can just sit and appreciate these instead. x

I love the second picture! And, you´re right, abandoned buildings has something magic inside them. It´s even better with no graphites on the walls, when the only things left on them is just seedy, but magic color. ♥

I'd love to do the exact same thing, I've always told myself that I should take my camera with me wherever I go just in case a piece of inspiration comes by and bam there's your chance. I'd probably get too scared too, maybe throughout the day would be nice though, just like those pictures 🙂

Wow! I love your point of view. Opposites are surprising and enchanting. But same here, stepping to an abandoned buiding would be a exciting and scary challenge to accomplish.
