rainy days are for reading

Top-bottom: H.G. Wells – The Sleeper Awakes, H.G. Wells – The Shape of Things to Come, Isabelle Allende – The House of The Spirits, Russh #33, Russh #35, Dazed & Confused Vol #83

Rainy days + public holidays = perfect reading weather. It’s also the perfect weather for listening to The Smiths, eating homemade guava jelly on toast, and crafting pink marching-band inspired costumes (story for another day). Anyway, I’ve had these hired out from the library (bar the latest Russh, which I bought) for quite some time. I had to renew them just the other day. So I really should get cracking. I’ve been stuck on The Sleeper Awakes for ages now. Maybe if I stopped dancing around to The Smiths and eating so much toast…

Oh, look, the sun just came out…

    I love The War of the Worlds by Wells, it's just so scary! Haven't read those two though.

    @toni: good point!

    @Natalie: I highly recommend it.

    @TheVelvetBow: thanks, made them myself πŸ™‚

    @JessLovesFred: In Brisbane it is! Ekka Holiday. Whoever decided that we needed a day off to go to what is essentially a carnival is a genius in my books.

    every rainy day is good reading day. especially classic literature such as H.G. Wells! but I have to concede: such days make for great dance party days too!

    I've never read The House of Spirits; let us know how you like it! <3

    @BeckermanGirls: If it was simple enough to package up my aunt's supply and send them overseas to you guys, trust me, I would!

    @NaomiDixon: I just make them up in photoshop. Hope that helps!

    @klonecka and @dennicapearl: thanks for following.

    @QuiteQuaint: I would usually call it jam too, but seeing as it's labelled as jelly, I though I'd stay true to it haha
