vicious, you hit me with a flower

Motel chunky cardigan, Witchery silk tank, handmade skirt.

In case you haven’t noticed, I really like stripes. When it’s too cold to wear only a thin striped sweater, I bring out this baby. It’s like wearing a doona. Anyway, I’m off to see Eclipse tonight. I’ve given up hating on the whole Twilight series. It’s too much effort. As long as I never read the books again, I’ll be quite content with life.

Also, I’ve been listening to Lou Reed’s Transformer a lot recently. Hence the title of this post. Vicious. Listen to it. And just because I like telling random stories: one time I saw a girl get hit with a flower. True story. It was hilarious*. Basically, she thought some guy was going to give her a flower and then he hit her with it instead and said she shouldn’t accept things from strangers, or something to that effect.

*Disclaimer: I’m not promoting random acts of flower violence. I doubt getting hit with a flower would hurt much anyway. Unless it had heaps of thorns. And it happened to be more of a tap than a hit. Plus this all happened during Schoolies Week (international readers: think Spring Break), so that explains a lot.

    Ahh its so weird that you have to wear really thick jumpers over there due to the cold, when at the moment in England we're having a heat wave!

    Anyway – what an excellent choice of cardigan. I'm definitely one for blue and white stripes! xxx

    GREAT post!
    Totally chic outfit.
    I used to be 'above' twilight too, but somehow I manage to fall in love with the movies (although I'll never read the books) – the cinematography, the music, all awesome. Can't wait to see Eclipse on monday!

    Hahaha @ your 'flower girl' story.
    Love the chunky knit cardi. Looks very warm and fuzzy.
    I saw Eclipse the other night, and its one of my guilty pleasures. I'd probably look back in a few years and wonder what I was thinking. Ha!
    Hope you liked the film.

    Hi! I am moving to India this year to volunteer. I'm so so so excited about it and am going to be working in rural areas trying to provide basic services that we all take so much for granted. It is going to be an amazing trip and I'm fundraising for it right now!

    If you spread the word you get a MOOD RING!

    Pretty sweet eh? πŸ™‚

    I don't hate the Twilight series for no reason. Since I am a film student, I'm very critical when it comes to films. I'm not a fan of the cinematography, but I'm sure some people think it's beautiful… I think the film doesn't portray Edward and Bella's love as passionately as the book did… apparently. Their relationship wasn't well fleshed out as it could have, I didn't feel it, that's why I don't understand their love. Anyways, enjoy the film πŸ™‚ Excuse the long rant!

    @danica: great minds, eh?

    @JessLovesFred: I've been hanging on to this for a whole year! I bought it at the end of last winter, and snapped it up in preparation haha.

    @hannah: As someone who is very particular about good grammar and writing, the Twilight books make me want to scratch my eyes out. Harsh, but true.

    @imnotunfaithful: thank you πŸ™‚

    @Charlotte: I highly recommended it!

    @Meggstatus: I actually knew the girl it happened to, and half the reason it was so funny was because it happened to her.

    @Dad: Yes. Or good. Whichever.

    @avalonne: I appreciated the rant πŸ™‚ I think the production of this film was a lot better than the first two. Storywise… I think Edward and Bella are quite dull. The actiony bits were probably the best bits of the film.

    @Lika: Thanks!

    Haha, I think I'd totally be laughing if I saw a girl hit by a flower – not if it's a vicious attack though of course!! That'll be awful!

    The cardigan is soo nice – it's got cable knit, my favourite! Also it looks so comfy!
