This is my pick of the latest offerings from London-based, Australian label Antipodium. For this collection, the brand collaborated with indigenous artists from remote Western Australia. The end result was a range that fused bright pops of colour (e.g. hot pink dresses, not shown) with nudes and basics, and a bit of Aboriginal art thrown in for good measure. The collection also serves as quick lesson in Aboriginal/Australian lingo, what with names such as the “Ab-original” skirt, “Walkabout” short, “Out back” body, and “Tradie for a Lady” dress. Oh, and how could I forget the “Up Chic Creek” dress? They do love a good play on words over at Antipodium headquarters.
