pleated

In a previous post, I gave a little preview of something that I was sewing. It was a skirt. Yay for those who guessed correctly.

I really wanted to make a skirt with horizontal pleats. Now all I need is to find some nice brogues, stock up on some cute socks, find a nice white/cream blazer, and I think I have the makings of my dream outfit right there. I’ve also decided that I want to make another version of this skirt, but in a peach colour. Maybe in a more swishy fabric. We’ll see.

    It's gorgeous!

Did you follow a pattern, or is this all done by your (talented) self?!

@everyone: Thanks for all the lovely comments! Especially seeing as I still think I'm a bit of a mediocre sewer. You're all wonderful ego boosters πŸ™‚

@flairtoremember: I'm thinking about it. Watch this space!

@Marie: I didn't use a pattern. I took some inspiration from a dress I already own, and did a bit of problem solving to get the pleats just right πŸ™‚
