made it

I found this material the other day. It reminded me of the “Zulu” prints used in the recent Lover collection. I wanted to buy the Zulu pleat shorts during their flash sale but they had sold out of my size. I could have bought a beach bag as consolation, but I was disheartened. Anyway, the beach bags looked simple enough to make. So I did.

In other news, I’m going to St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival tomorrow. Can’t wait to see Florence + The Machine, Mumford & Sons and The XX. I plan on wearing a polka-dot playsuit. I’m excited.

Haha yes I think 'old' pretty much covers all three of those (vintage, retro, antique). I really like your blog and this bag turned out so well! I just borrowed my friend's sewing machine so I can teach myself to sew so this could be a good project for me once I get going πŸ™‚

I agree, this bag is so nice and at the same time looks like a hippie style… it is comfortable
but all alone is a bit boring so I'd put something on it!
    hahaaha kisses babe!(k)
