pink punk

Pencil on paper/watercolour/digital edit.

Old Russh magazines have been a treasure trove of inspiration lately. I drew this one from the “Judy is a Punk” editorial from the May/June ’09 issue. The hands are a bit scrappy, but oh well. It’s one of those things where you have to get it right the first time, because the more you try and fix it, the worse it gets. Haven’t quite decided whether this one is finished yet – might do something with the shirt, who knows. Also, I ran out of room on the page, so I might try and extrapolate the arm because the straight line down is really annoying me right now.

This is awesome! It looks great as it is, but might be interesting to add something to the shirt too.

lisa + cathy – Thanks! And yep, I drew it myself.

muchlove – I'm thinking of adding a silver sequin type pattern to the shirt. Fingers crossed it turns out ok!

    Dylana – Thanks!

Goodle – Thanks! I've always been a drawer, so I guess that's what 20 odd years of practice does haha

loft in soho – Thank you so much!

Miss Red – I'll be sure to post the editorial one day, it's pretty amazing.
